Business Vocabulary (Part 1)

With so much emphasis today on the economy and the job market, let's spend some time looking over some important business vocabulary terms that relate to employment.

Find 4 terms that you're not totally familiar with and come back to this blog so you can post the words & definitions of each. Then try to use two of those words correctly in a sentence.

3. Prospects- the likelihood of success
4. Bonus- something given or paid beyond what is due

Words I am not totally familiar with:

1)Bonus:(n.)additional pay given to employee as incentive or reword.

2)Curriculum Vitae: (n.)short account of one's education, career, etc., CV,resume, resume.

3)Make Redundant:(v.)(made, made) to dismiss because of not being needed-(n.)Redundancy.

4)Maternity Leave:(n.) period of absence from work (for a woman) when having a baby.

Sentence:

1)Today my boss gave me a Bonus.

2)I have to write a Curriculum Vitae resume for my Teacher.

3)At work I had too make a Redundant because their was a lot of people.

4)My sister had to take a at work of two months.

Sentences:
1. Receiving a perk is a good idea too show appreciation for the ones who work hard, and the ones who do not work hard will work harder.
2. A curriculum vitae is used to tell the boss of your work and education history.
