I am familiar with the term conferences; it is a word I hear every week. It is funny because I don’t go to conferences, but I am introduced the word because my mother goes to meeting every other week.

#1) A.G.M.: abbr. Annual General Meeting.

#7) Casting Vote: n. A deciding vote (usually by the chairman) when the votes are otherwise equal.

#11) Consensus: n. General agreement.

#15) Minutes: n. A written record of everything said in a meeting.

I was familiar with the term #2) A.O.B. which is the abbr. for Any Other Business, because its something that is usually stated at the end of a meeting. In order to give others a chance to insert their ideas or concerns.

I am familiar with confernce calls because I make conference calls all the time. It is easier for me to make them than it is to go to the meeting. I feel more relaxed making the call instead of talking face to face.
