Describe It - Weather!

I'm going to stick to the "trend" I've had lately about descriptive writing. The great thing about this topic is that there's so much out there to use as inspiration! Today, we'll focus on the weather. But this doesn't have to be about the weather that's currently happening. Maybe you want to think about a place you've been or a weather event you've endured: a rainy day, a hurricane, a snow storm, an August day in Florida, etc.

I grew up in New Jersey and went through many snow storms. The most beautiful part was at night as the snow fell. If you turned on a light outside, you could see the dainty, delicate, crystal flakes just slowly falling from the night sky. Once you stepped outside, you'd hear this very faint, but distinct crackling of the flakes reaching the ground and piling on top of the snow that was already there.

What type of weather would you like to tell me about? Write a few complete sentences that describe this. Remember that a complete sentence has a subject and a verb. Use those adjectives, as that's what helps paint that vivid, detailed picture in your reader's mind!

I am from SudAmerica, in the city were I born is always with cloudy skies and very high humidity, you always feel your clothes and any other kind of fabrics like being wet, the temperature in nine months of the year is the mid 60s on winter, fall, and spring. We have a slight chance of rainy days, the nights lows will dip into the mid 40s or 50s. On summer the temperature high until 70s or 80s, eventually the clouds break and if you are lucky the sun will peek out, so you can enjoy a day on the beach.

I was born and raised here in South Florida. I love hearing the news of a cold front approaching. I absolutely love the weather here during the winter months. Sometimes it will rain before the front. After the rain I experience the smell of unexplainable freshness. I step outside to embrace the fresh, crisp, clean air. The air goes right through my body straight to my bones. My ears fingers, toes, and the very tip of my nose gets numb. It's freezing! Time to find my babies or my honey to snuggle with and feel each others love and warmth. I love it!

Leaving Florida a few years ago during the winter to visit Virginia was exciting. I stepped outside the airport in Virginia and was greeted with light, flakey snow, just beginning to fall. I gently brushed off the white flakes which decorated my black coat. The following day it was fun dressing up like eskimos and going out to make snow balls, which I tossed at my friends. While I enjoyed my first experience of snow, it was a pleasure to leave the cold temperature and return to a warm and sunny Florida.

I am a Miami Native and I love the rainy days when I have nowhere to go and absolutely nothing to do. I like to stand at the sliding back door and watch the rain hit the ground (that's if there's no lightening. I am petrified of lightening. I love the smell of the fresh rain. I enjoy the darkness in the house when the clouds are dark grey. I find something good to watch on t.v, get in bed, cover-up and yes, doze off to sleep. Ahhhh rain, rain, come today!!!

I was took a vacation too Maui, Hawaii. I hope to move there someday. I loved the hot sun burning down on me, while swimming in the cold ocean. On the shore you could hear the breeze blowing the palm trees and waves crashing into the sand. As the sun went down, the temp. would drop. You had to change clothes because it would get chilly. Still being able to hear the wind and waves, a light sweater on the beach is my favorite feeling, while watching the stars shine bright.

I am from south florida so we get alot of hurricanes. Some strange reason I love hurricanes as long as it isn't like hurricane andrew.I love the wind that start to blow outside my window when a hurricane is coming or has come already. It's not to cold nor to hot.The weather is just right. It's so calm and breath taking if I may say so.If you are stress about something one cool breeze from this amazing wind will take your mind off of it.For some reason it helps you to have a sane mind. The wind bring families, couples and friends together. It help you to think about the important things in life and to not take it for granted. In conclusion I hate hurricanes but I love the weather that comes with it.I know right strange.lol

I remember being on the beach in Jamaica. It was a bright and sunny day. The breeze was blowing the leaves like music to my ears. I watched the blue rhythmic waves as I lay on the warm sand. It was calming just to sit on the beach and watch the people. I will always remember that beautiful day. The weather was warm, breezy, and sunny.
