Describe It!

Have you ever had someone describe something to you that you could perfectly picture in your mind? That's what we should all strive to do with our writing. It should be detailed in a way that your reader has a clear vision of what you're discussing.

Pick some item and describe it with a few key phrases!

I'll start with what I'm having for breakfast, potato salad. (Yes, that really is what I'm eating for breakfast today!)

Potato salad: chunky potatoes, creamy mayo, small chive pieces, crunchy celery bits

With those descriptive phrases, can you picture (and almost taste) that in your mind?

Now you give it a try!

Today, I missed breakfast, so I had a heavy lunch which consisted of jerk chicken, rice and peas, with tossed salad. I used a little ketchup to sweeten my taste bud. Wow, this was delicious!

First, I preheated the oven to 375 degrees. Next, I mixed dry ingredients such as: flour, some salt and baking powder. Then, I beat eggs and mixed it with butter, sugar, vanilla and milk. Last, I mixed everything together. I poured mixtue in a pan and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. Final result, my sons birthday cake.

Happy 9th Birthday!

My favorite breakfast is
two crunchy waffles(I put them in the toaster twice), two crunchy pieces of bacon with the rubbery edges for chewing on for a while, and a nice cup of hot peppermint tea with one spoonful of sugar and a touch of milk.... ahhhh Heaven!

Today I was spent!

I ran around the green, crisp grass at the quiet neighborhood park, while little squeals of delight resonated. We then sloppily ate fresh watermelon. Shortly after, one of us finally fell asleep on our stroll in the breeze, back home.
Today, I am so tired.
