Blogging - Pick a topic, any topic!

For today's blog, I'd like you to pick a past blog post (any blog post from any date), review it, and then come back here to report the following things.

1.) What was the date that the topic was originally posted?
2.) What was the topic you reviewed?
3.) What did you learn from it (or from the replies)?

Remember that you can use the "Blog History" on the right to help you get back to past topics, even ones from when the blog was first started (in April 2008)!

The blog I found very informative was "Writing Tips for E-mails" posted on Oct 8th, 2008. It shared information on how important it is to sign an e-mail.

The teacher, from Smith High School in Texas, said that the paper was due the next day.Our group of friends did not know what to do. In class we were known as the "procrastenators".As we were thinking of what to put on the paper, the power went out.We had to use grandma's lamp to do our task.We thought, thought and thoutht, but nothing would come out.Tomorrow is the last day and we had to bring something. Tired and sleepy, each of us tried to write the paper the best way we know we can. We finally produced three pieces of paper for our presentation. It was not our best, but it had to do. The moral of the story,"Procrastening", is always a bad idea.

Answer to Question 1 - The topic was originally posted on May 29, 2009.

Answer to Question 2 - The topic I reviewed was context clues.

Answer to Question 3 - From the replies I learnt that most people use context clues in their reading for different reasons. Some because they do not have a dictionary to check the meaning of the word at the time needed, others try to figure out the meaning then check it, others just guess the meaning.
