Using quotes as kickers is appealing to me.It relives you of the responsibility of writing something pithy and clever. I read in the article that it is very common in magazines to use the interviewee’s money quote as the final sentence or paragraph of the article.

The best time to write depends on the environment in which one can concentrate and be free from interruptions. Writing from a tree house, and getting up early in the morning when it is quiet sounds appealing to me.

I agree that writing is like anything else, you have to do it when you're really up to it. The wee hours of the morning works for me. Everyone is asleep (especially the talkative hubby) so I can get anything done free of interruptions, plus I appreciate the alone quiet time!

I found the early writing to be appealing. It would have to be a weekend day for me to have the quiet time but that sounds good to me.

I found the idea of writing from a 'tree house' most appealing and unusual.

The tip that works for me is writing in the early morning.

The ten minute burst,I found it most appealing or interesting. It say is you working on a project that doesn't have a tight deadline, set a timer and write as hard as you can to get as many words down as possible. Edit another day, life is full of short gaps that we can use to do some writing.

Work Late and The Ten-Minute Burst are the two that work for me. I could never set an alarm to wake up early to write. For some reason late at night is my best time to do homework. I also get writers block often and find the ten minute burst to work very well. When it comes to essays I think to much into it so now I've learned to sit down and just write for 10-15 min. Before I know it I have 3 pages done. I stop, go to work or out, then come back to edit and it comes out great.

I liked the article "The Best Time to Write." There was some useful tips that I think that I will apply to my writing. One tip that I will use to write in short spans like 10 minutes at a time, without editing.

Personally, I do not write very often and am not that interested in writing journal or books. But I do agree with changing your environment when you do write.

For me writing during the wee hours works the best. You start with a fresh mind and the ideas come flowing. The only challenge is to go to sleep early.

For, me the best time to write is when you are relaxed and your in the mood. Also, not having alot of distractions around you. I have learned that the more I am able to focus the more I can get done.
