Customer Service

As we approach a busy holiday season we become more aware of customer service skills offered by employees in all organizations (department stores, supermarkets, restaurants and businesses). It seems as most people tend to "stress out" during the season, which tends to bring about bad customer service experiences.

Last month (October 20th) we shared "10 important customer service words" that we should consider using. Today, we would like to share a two and a half minute movie that covers customer service.

Please watch the movie and share your thoughts (post your commment) on it. Did you like the movie? Can you think of ways to possibly provide better customer service in the future? Can you imagine being a better customer when you have to wait in a long line? Even if you do not deal with customers in your workplace, do you provide good (internal) customer service to your fellow co-workers? supervisor?

The movie on customer service was very interesting. I think Johnnie was very creative in his idea on customer service, and in so doing, attracted return customers. Sometimes just maintaining a pleasant countenance with a smile and encouraging last words improve customers' experience and ensures the return of customers.

Finding a productive way to spend your time while waiting in line (like having an interesting reading material) can sometimes ease the frustration of waiting.

I believe that good customer service is the key to keep customers coming back. Customer service to fellow co-workers is equally important, as a pleasant working environment with courteous workers encourages long service in an organization and reduces staff turn-over.

This short movie was very inspiring, it touched me. It made me think about the little things that one can to to make a difference in the lives of many.

I always remain patient when waiting in a long line. I know that if I get frustrated or bothered that it only effets me. That is something that I am powerless over, I can't change it so I go with the flow. Sometimes I pick up the phone and call someone, it makes the times go by faster.

I practice good customer service skills in the workplace. Something as simple as a friendly gesture or a complement is always nice to receive, especially when it comes from a stranger. Smiles are refreshing too.

Good customer service is key to a successful buisiness.

I try to provide the best customer service possible. Most people appreciate you for that and it feels good to be nice. I'm always looking for ways to be more helpful to our customer.

The movie was very touching and inspirational for me, I was move for Johnnie's idea. Well I work with customer all day, my way to improve my customer service is treat them like VIP persons, give always a big smile, greeting them, talking with them if they want to share something with me. That fact that you are waiting on a big line to check out, that doesn't mean you have to get mad, in this life you have to learn to wait.
Yes, in my job I always try to get along with everybody, even with my manager.

This video got me all emotional. I loved it. I have been working in customer service for 9 years now and love helping people. It drives me crazy when I'm in a store and deal with such horriable service. I worked for a company where all they really cared about was customers service, even if they didn't buy anything. If the customer was looking for something specific and we didn't have it but knew who did, we were told to help them find where they can get it. We were trained to just conversate with the customers and make them feel comfortable and important. Believe it or not, they would come back just because they remembered us and our service. Going out of your way for customers can really feel amazing and rewarding for yourself.

That was such an inspirational story. It shows anyone can do anything if they really wanted to.

I think the story of Johnny(the bagger) was funny, because suddenly he became a VIP all off of writing notes, but at the end you learn why his idea was so successful. Because it came from the heart.

To me customer service is important, because that's what I do but sometimes no matter how nice or kind you are you still may end up with an, "evil brat." So the best thing to do in that situation is to get them out of there as soon as posible. That's before they drag you down with them.

No, I do not provide internal customer service to co-workers, or managers because in the customer service field you find that a lot of people who work there are not fully evolved, and do not plan to go any further in life!

The movie was awe-inspiring. Good customer service is the hub of any business. Just this week, I met a cashier, whose customers took gifts to her. Her customer service was excellent.

Having a pleasant personality, courteous to everyone is an excellent way to go.
