Writing and Spelling

The whole point of writing is to get your purpose across to the reader (or readers). However, spelling errors (even small ones) can jump out at your reader and begin to pull the focus off of your ideas. We all make spelling mistakes, but the less of them you make and the more often you catch them, the better your writing will be.

Check out this fun spelling game called "SpellaRoo" and challenge yourself!

Click on this link (http://www.funbrain.com/spellroo/index.html) and then select the "beginner" or "intermediate" level. Each game will give you 10 turns. Play it and then report how you did! Was it enjoyable? Is that a site you'd share with anyone else (family, friend, co-worker)?

Spelling is a great tool for communicating. Actually, it is a necessity in order to write a letter. A letter sounds better if it is in the right format and the punctuation is correct. Spelling and writing go together because you can't do one without the other. Taking the time to write a letter correctly helps the recipient understand the message more clearly. It also shows the level of intelligence the writer has.

I played the spelling game beginner and intermediate I got all right. It is very interesting. Sometimes when you see a word it looks correct, but you have to analyzed the word before making a decision. I will definitely recommend this spelling game to my kids, bacause it is very helpful.

I took the challenge and had 10 in the beginner section and an 8 in the intermediate. I think you have to be very careful because sometime your eyes can play tricks on you. You have to think for while to recognize what word is spelled wrong.

I played both the beginner and the intermediate games and found them to be very enjoyable. I scored all ten questions correctly on both games. I would recommended this site to any of my family member or friend.

I checked out the spelling game on funbrain. It was pretty cool. My 8year old daughter, Kylee and I used to do something like that on paper. I would write sentences with spelling and punctuation errors and she would have to fix them. I will definately have her check this out, I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it.

This was fun. The beginners level was very easy. I thought the intermediate was as well until I saw that I had 9 out of 10 correct. It made me realize I had to pay closer attention to the words. It is a game that I will introduce to my 14 and 6 year old boys.

I played the word game and found it very interesting. It shows how simple words can be easily misspelt. Also how we tend to spell the words the way we pronounce them.

I got all 10 correct on both tests. I found this a little too easy but would recommend it to my sister for my niece and nephew.

I am very happy for playing the spelling game. It is very helpful, in learning how to spell words correcly. I am also happy that I got all of them right in doing the excercise. It is a good way of improving your spelling and writing skills.

On the spellaroo game I selected beginner and got a 10/10 mostly because they were what I consider to be baby words.
