What I found to be most interesting was that in a resignation letter which should be written in business letter format. You should include the company's name and address, and the letter should begin with you address at the very top. This information is very helpful to me, because I will be using it in the near future.
I do think now I will be able to write a letter of resignation.

When you have been working for the same company for more than 15 years and you have a good position, the resignation letter is sometimes, a little sad, because you are leaving your comfort zone and entering a new field, will know new people, and sometimes you have to move to a new country (like I did 20 years ago). But this letter is necessary in order to give the company enought time to find somebody else to replace you.

Depending on the situation it can be important to write a formal letter of resgination. Sometimes it should contain a lot of information like why you are leaving and offering assistance with finding a replacement, while other times you might just need to get out ASAP with only a few words written. Personally, I have never written one due to the nature of my jobs one was not warranted for the companies, but I am sure one day in the future I will need to utilize this information.

I think a formal "Resignation Letter" is good. You can express your feeling towards your old company, may be good or a little bit not so good. I saw many times about my ex-co-worker, when they left, they just made a phone call to the boss, it is very impolite. They forgot one day, they may need a resume from thier old boss.

The letter writing site give great samples of writing a resignation letter. It is very important to be professional when writing a resignation letter.

Some people tend to write negative stuff in their letter of resignation.

You will never know when the need will present itself, to call upon your pass job for a letter of recommendation.

I did had the opportunity to write a resignation letter.

Writing a letter of resignation is important in every aspect. It shows your current employer you are concerned with the companies future prior to you leaving by giving the company time to find a replacement and offering to assist in the trasition of your leaving.

I think one of the most important parts is to keep your letter positive. It's always a good idea to be polite when you leave your job, especially if it's your decision to work someplace else. Also, there's the possibility that you might need references later on. I never had to write a letter of resignation before, and it's not difficult, now that I have the information on how to do it.

"Resignation Letter" has few steps you have to follow, the first paragraph you give to the company the date when are you leaving and it is common courtesy to give a least two weeks notice.
The second paragraph explain the reason, and the third one, offering to help to train a replacement, they are optional, but in my opinion they are very important, they can help you in the future to keep a open door between you and your former employer.
I think I can do this letter in the future following those easy steps.

Giving at least two week's notice is usually expected, however, management positions generally require more than two weeks.

Expressing thanks for the period of employment, and good wishes for the success of the company are also important.

Even if the reason for deciding to leave is as a result of something negative on the part of the company, a resignation letter should not espress anything negative.

The most interesting section of the letter was the paragraph on offering your assistance in making the transition successful.

I have written letters of resignation in the past using all the points mentioned.
