Tell me a story-October's edition

There's nothing worse than writing because you're forced to do so. Not every writing task should be like that, so let's have some fun and do a "tell me a story" blog!

I'll give you some key terms that I'd like you to weave into your story. You can make your entries funny, serious, informative, or persuasive. It's up to you. The only "rules" are that you should write your entries correctly and, most importantly, you have to enjoy this task! :-)

Here are the key words to use.

October
Weather
clouds
Candy

I look forward to seeing what you submit!!!

Please include your name (if anonymous) and spell check before you submit.

October started out less cloudy than August. Probably the weather will be good to get lots of candy on Halloween.

Please Carmen, answer the phone. Ring, Ring, Click “You have reached Carmen Sandiego; I am not at my desk at this time. Please leave a brief message with your name and number, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.” Sigh- “Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?” Joanne found herself afraid for the safety of her friend, and like the stormy October weather, she could not settle down. Looking out the window she was taken aback by the low rain filled clouds. Popping a piece of candy in her mouth, the phone rang. “Oh Carmen, I found you!” Joanne started as she quickly grabbed the phone receiver and placed it to her ear. “Joanne, you had nothing to fear but fear itself.” Carmen blinked twice at the number of missed calls from her overly protective friend. “I returned home after my office closed due to the approaching storm,” she said “so relax, I’m fine.”

What I love about the month of October is that it’s the scariest and spookiest month of the year. Every one in your neighborhood is making their house scary and spooky. Mostly I love how the weather changes to the beginning of fall. All and all October has beautiful clouds and weather and of course yummy candy.

October has become one of my favorite months. It's a welcome change in weather from the oppressive heat of the long summer, a time when I will see a huge reduction in my utility bill! You know that Christmas is near, but far enough away to give you something to keep looking foward to. You can look foward to great prices on candy, especially after the thirty-first!

The month of October is a good and a bad month for me, because I love it when the tempter changes. But the down side of it all is when the stores start to bring out candy for Halloween. When I’m in Wal-Mart, Walgreens or CVS; I try my best not to walk down the candy isles. It is a sham that I have to do that, sometime I laugh at myself; you know I have to try my best to keep up my will power. In other words I have to stay away from the candy isle.
