Vocabulary - Use It Or Lose It (Part 6)

Here's another selection of words from the academic word list. It includes ten sets of words most frequently found in school text books of all types and was developed by Averil Coxhead of Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.

Please pick one word, post the definition, and then use that word in an original sentence. You may use an online dictionary (such as this one: http://www.merriam-webster.com).

Definition- Community, a unified body of individuals with common interests,and characteristic.

Sentence- I always take part in my community activities.

Consequence-A conclusion derived through logic,or something produced by a cause or necessarily following from a set of conditions.

Sentence-In life I always learned things the best way from the consequences of my actions.

1)the act, manner, or process of carrying on
2)a mode or standard of personal behavior especially as based on moral principles

The doctor will conduct further research on the blood tests.

My computer crashed several times last month.

Conclusion:
A reasoned judgment, the necessary consequence of two or more propositions taken as premises. The last part of something: as, a final summation.

Sentence - If you want to lose weight, eat healthy and exercise. It was her conclusion.

3: importance with respect to power to produce an effect mistake 4: the appearance of importance; especially : self-importance

I ate to much cake for the holidays, now I have to face the consequences.

You do need a computer for an online class.

one that consumes: as one that utilizes economic goods

We are consumer's of energy in the form of oil, coal, gas and electricity.
