Tell me a story - February's edition

It's time to have some fun with our writing! Let's put on those creative thinking caps and get ready to spin some tales of happiness, humor, romance, mystery, or misery. We're going to have the February edition of "tell me a story." (To see some past "tell me a story" topics, visit these links: December 1st, November 4th, October 4th, September 27th, August 7th, July 2nd, June 3rd, and May 21st. Feel free to participate in them too!)

For this particular one, let's use Valentine's Day as the theme. In 4-6 sentences, tell me a story that involves the following items: candles, chocolate, a single red rose, and a phone call from Mrs. Hernandez. Remember that your story can go in any direction. It doesn't have to have a traditional romantic Valentine's Day theme. Perhaps you're going to create a short mystery or a humorous tale. It's up to you! No matter what you choose, though, have fun with it, and write those sentences correctly!!!

I received a phone call from Mrs. Hernandez to let me know that someone very special is making my wishes come true for Valentine's Day. I always dreamed about a candle light dinner with a single rose in the middle table and a huge chocolate heart for desert.

Valentines a special day for families and lovers. I always looked forward for this day to received lots of gift from my husband. This year was different, I received a phone call from Mrs Hernandez asking me out for dinner. Knowing my husband is out of state, I took her up on the offer. Apparently when I got at the restaurant, there was no Mrs Hernandez, I was shooked to see my husband standing, waiting and beckoning me to joined him. The table was well decorated with candles, one single rose and a huge box of chocolate.

It was Valentines Day and I went to work as usual. I was in my office when I recieved a phone call from the secretary Mrs. Hernandez to come up front. When I reached up front she had a single red rose from a secret admire. Later that day I received another call from her and it was a box of chocolates, still no signature. Well I finally went home, I founs burning candles and my husband waiting for me, he was the secreat admire.

I received a phone call from Mrs. Hernandez yesterday. She wanted to make a San Valentine party for the employees in the store. Mrs. Hernandez is the Human Resources manager. She asked me to buy Mexican food for the party. She brought candles to decorate the tables. Mrs. Wilson, the Store Manager, bought some drinks, a single red rose, and a big teddy bear to put on the dinning table. The employees were so happy with the party and enjoyed it.

Mr. Hernandez had planned an intimate, romantic dinner weeks ago. He chose a secluded restaurant which allowed them to be “creative” while dining. Unfortunately, Mrs. Hernandez had other plans. She called Mr. Hernandez canceling their intimate dinner saying, “she had to work late.” He was so upset that he left the restaurant in a rage driving hysterically to her office. When he arrived at her office, he was escorted to her office by a security guard. When he entered the office, the door slammed behind him. As the aroma of therapeutic scents tickled his nose, he heard soft music playing in the background. His eyes roamed the room from the candles burning to the voluptuous Mrs. Hernandez in a red teddy. A single red rose parted her lips as she pointed to the chocolate covered strawberries that awaited them.

At 6:00am on Valentine's Day I received a very strange phone call from my neighbour, Mrs. Hernandez. She said I needed to come quickly because something was not right.I rushed right over to see what the problem was. She took me to her living room and in the middle of her table was a box of chocolate,a single red rose, and a candle. Mrs. Hernandez had no idea where these items came from. Her husband had passed away the previous year and she was not seeing anyone. She was totally confused. I was too. We checked to see if the house had been broken into, but it was not. Until this day we still don't know how those items got there.
